Anger is a healthy feeling when it preserves our dignity, the health of our body, the safety of our family.

Often we feel that we live in a constant state of anger, hating ourselves and those around us. We have known those excessive, seemingly unprovoked, outbursts of anger for which we later feel so embarrassed.

During an NLP session we can find out the cause of this anger. It could be just a lack of movement and fresh air. Anger is basically unexpressed, repressed energy.

Anger might arise when we feel vulnerable, inadequate, hopeless, or with pains and aches in our bodies - and we might have been brought up that we have to hide all these feelings as well...

The experienced NLP practitioner will be able to listen to you carefully and find - together with you - those solutions which may help you manage your anger from now on.

What are the symptoms?

  • Uncontrollable explosive outbursts
  • Road rage
  • Controlling behaviour and domestic violence to friends and family
  • Introverted anger caused by depression or anxiety
  • Drug or alcohol dependency due to anger related problems
What are some of the causes of your anger?

Why are some people unable to control their anger? It can be because of cultural patterns or caused by the family. The family? Yes, in some cultures persons are not allowed to display their emotions, and this includes anger. The constant bottling up of emotions can lead to anger and explosive outbursts.

Even small things like not eating regularly. Low blood sugar levels can lead to intolerance and unreasonable levels of anger. Tiredness, anxiety, or a change in your hormones can contribute to feelings of anger.

There are certain things that can trigger an outburst, these are called “hooks”. Understanding which” hooks” trigger off those feelings of anger are the first steps in the management of your anger. An example of a “hook” could be something as simple as “drivers that don’t indicate, or fail to thank you when you’ve let them in!”
