Anxiety treated by Glasgow's top NLP therapist
How can NLP help overcome anxiety?
In contrast with fear, where the object is well defined and is an emotion which helps us survive and assess our environment, anxiety is an emotion which, being unrelated to a particular event or situation, is difficult to overcome without the help of a professional.
Using exercises devised by NLP, we are able first to pinpoint the cause of the feeling, and the situation which has originally caused it. Secondly, through release and understanding, come a feeling of relaxation, thus dispelling anxiety altogether.
Once the trigger point that causes your anxiety is understood, that particular issue will never occur again.
What conditions can be resolved using NLP Therapy?
Wondering how NLP can help various anxiety conditions?
Stress can cause anxiety and can help a person deal with a difficult situation. Stressful situations are: work, school, further education, ill health, moving home, divorce or separation, death, even happy events can lead to stress and anxiety such as holidays, weddings etc. There are different levels of anxiety but when it makes life very difficult it may be that the patient is suffering from an anxiety disorder.
Often there is no identifiable trigger that sets off your anxiety, and it is different form a fear trigger which is immediately identifiable e.g. an accident. A fear trigger is there to solve the situation instantly, i.e. to avoid or escape a problem; anxiety on the other hand does fall into the same category where circumstances require an instant response, to perhaps a life saving predicament.
Anxiety manifests itself with a number of indicators. Examples of these indicators / symptons may be headaches, chest pains, breathing difficulties, sore stomachs, and nausea. These are reaction by the body to cope with a perceived threat and may result in increased blood pressure and heart rate, including sweating. Extreme examples of anxiety may be panic attacks where the patient may feel that there are about to die or pass out. The perception for the person suffering a panic attack is very real and they may feel in real danger.
